On the professional side
Hello there! I’m Lara James an RDH. I have been practicing dental hygiene since 2004, after graduating from Portland Community College, with a 
degree in dental hygiene to become a RDH (registered dental hygienist). While primarily working in private practice, with some experience in corporation and managed dental care I have been lucky enough to engage with multiple dental hygienists, dental assistants and dentists. I have absorbed their knowledge on dental products and reasons for advising patients with certain tools. In addition, many patients have taught me plenty about their preferences and non-preferences in the dental product world, contributing to my interests in dental products. I strive to educate YOU the patient on what can work best for your dental needs.
I am certified in CPR, laser, local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Also, I have written an online continuing education course for dental professionals with Crest Proctor and Gamble, Bruxism: The Grind of the Matter.
On the personal side
After living in Portland, Oregon for 21 years, my husband and I now reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Not only are we embarking on a new adventure personally, we are able to experience it with a gorgeous landscape. I am enjoying the sunshine and the majestic views of the Rockies mountain range. Colorado sunrises are breath taking and I feel very fortunate to experience them on most mornings. Another exhilarating exposure is viewing the wildlife—through our large panoramic windows. I enjoy hiking, running, reading and listening to podcasts. Running half marathons with my daughter is as much a delight as it is playing pool with my husband.
